A Taste of the Pittsburgh Folk Festival

This one-day celebration of culinary arts and cultural heritage  will showcase Pittsburgh’s rich multiculturalism through international cuisine, cooking demonstrations, music, and opportunities for meaningful community engagement. Shovlin Academy of Irish Dance

We are thrilled to announce that Shovlin Academy of Irish Dance will be performing at A Taste of the Pittsburgh Folk Festival!

Takumi Kato is an award-winning taiko drummer from Japan who now performs with his three children as Peaceful Forest.

Since 2022, they have performed more than 700 times in 41 states while working toward their dream of 1,000 performances across all 50 U.S. states.

Through the power of taiko, they share a message of peace, family, and cultural connection.
